Enrico Somaglia is Deputy General Secretary of EFFAT, the European Federation of Food, Agriculture, and Tourism Trade Unions. EFFAT is a recognized EU Social Partner, a member of the ETUC (European Trade Union Confederation) and the European regional organisation of the IUF/UITA. Enrico covers different responsibilities including the coordination of EU policies and EFFAT work within transnational companies. Enrico joined EFFAT in 2013 as transnational companies coordinator. He is a qualified lawyer and he has dealt with different law areas including labour, criminal and EU law. He has worked in the European Parliament. He has also many years of experience as a waiter in the hospitality industry.
